 CHRIST COUNSEL AND WARNING

“Jesus said unto him let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid then fare well, which are at home at my house.

And Jesus said unto him, man having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God”(Luke 9:60-62). The time is very short. Consecration and devotion to serving the Lord should not be limited by any personal concern or need.

Whatsoever the hand findeth to do it with thy might; for these is no work nor device nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave whither thou goest” (Ecclesiastes 9:10). Our time of sojourn in this world is a time to serve the Lord, a time to rise and do something for the glory of God. It is not a time to sleep.

” I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day; the night cometh, when no man can work” (John 9:4). Serve the Lord seriously and jealously with all your might. Do not be entangled with the affair of this life.

Do not allow the cares of this life to choke the word of God and the Zeal of the Lord in your heart and life. Arise and work for the Lord, labour like the wise. “shake thyself from the dust; arise and sit down, o Jerusalem, loose thyself from the bands of the neck, o captive daughter of Zion(Isaiah 52:2)
