Getting God’s Endorsement — SAMUELDEUTH.COM
At the very beginning of King David's story, the prophet of that day was Samuel, and he came to David’s home because God told Samuel that he was to anoint and call out the next King from among the sons of Jesse. Samuel told Jesse to gather his sons so he could anoint the next king, but David's dad didn’t even invite him; now, that’s a pretty obscure beginning. The next notable sequence in David’s season of development begins as Samuel looks over the sons and wants to choose the oldest, God says something powerful: "Man looks at the outside, but God looks at the heart." These seasons that God leads us through are about God's endorsement, not man’s.
“For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.”
2 Corinthians 10:18 NIV
When God calls and appoints us to a work, he’s going to take the time to prepare and equip us for that work.
“What God approves, he must prove.”

God does use people in the process of confirming and affirming the call and the readiness of a leader, but seasons of Obscurity aren't about you striving to get the attention or stir the people around you to take interest in your skills and ability. We often get too focused on the endorsement of people; but, if your boss, pastor, or leader isn’t promoting you, it’s because God hasn’t endorsed you. I’ve spent far too much time caring about the opinion of people and it’s tiring. This season is really about God putting his stamp of approval on your life. When God observes you in your process of obscurity, He will at some point approve your heart and declare that you are ready for the next phase of your purpose.
“The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but the Lord tests the heart.”
Proverbs 17:3 NIV
And when He does, it won't matter how young or how old you are, it won't matter who your parents are or are not, it won’t matter your position financially or your status socially.
“When God approves you, nothing on earth can stop you!”
