Daniel 4 verse 30
30 The king spake, and said, is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?
Daniel 5 verse 20
20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:
- King Nebuchadnezzar was dethroned by God because ne attributed his success to the might of his power.
- Belshazzar his son was also dethroned from the throne because his heart was lifted.
- Previously, in the bible, King Saul also lost his throne to pride.
- The more successful you are, the humbler you should become if you want to please God.
- God is jealous of His glory. Therefore, know how to give all glory to Him, otherwise He will take all His glory away.
