TEXT:LUKE 5:18-32, LUKE 6:12-19

INTRODUCTION:-
Taking decision in life is unavoidable. From the passages we see how the men carried the man with palsy had to take a very drastic decision on how to get the sick man to Jesus. Luke 5;19.

The publican named Levi decided, left his duty post, left all and followed Jesus . Luke 5:28.

Jesus also had to make a choice. Among the disciples, he was to choose 12 apostles. All of the above chose to do the will of God. Jesus shows us the example of how to make right choices in life – Luke 6:12-13

What did he do? He went into the hills to pray. Have you been saying I want to know the will of God? It’s a matter of turning your ear to heaven and in waiting on him quietly, you hear what God has to say. YOU HAVE TO PRAY THROUGH UNTIL YOU’RE THROUGH during the hour of decision.

QUESTIONS:-
1. How can we describe the attitude of the 3 characters above if we too are to decide too pray and do the will of God Luke 5:9-20
2. Distinguish between the attitude of some Christians today ( who has made up their mind on what they ‘ll like before going to God in prayers) and the attitude of Jesus in Luke 6:12-13.
3. Does it thrill your soul to be in God’s presence or would you rather settle for whatever comes your way? Why?
4. What is the resultant effect of waiting on God so as to know and do His will for us in life? Luke 6:17-19.
5. How are we to handle life’s decision now that we know that we should live a life of constant dependence on God? John 14:6, Psalm. 119:105 Luke 6:12

MEMORY VERSE:- Luke 6:12-13- and it came to pass in the those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continue all night in prayer to God. And when it was day he called unto his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named Apostles;
