Several years ago I went to see a friend in the office of the President of Nigeria, a place known as Aso Rock in Abuja Nigeria akin to the White house in Washington DC.
I arrived the heavily fortified gate, and I told the security men that I wanted to see a friend in the President’s office. Those security men did not ask of my position or where I was coming from or the purpose of my visit to the President’s office? The security men simply asked me: Ís your name on the list? By this they mean the list of visitors to the President’s office for the day.
I said ‘yes’ with confidence’, knowing fully my visit was on an appointment. In reaction to my response, the security men brought out document that contained the list of approved visitors to the President’s office for that fateful day. They looked through the list and on finding my name, the gate was opened and I was allowed inside. It was clear to me from this experience that no matter how powerful or wealthy you are, if your name is not on that list at the gate of the President’s office, you will not be allowed in. I guess this is the same practice in offices of other Presidents of the world.
2. I had another experience in the year 2006 when I visited the United States embassy in Lagos for a visa interview. When I got to the gate on the appointment date, the simple question the security officer asked me is that ‘Is your name on the list’? He was referring to the list of those earlier given appointment for visa interview for that day? I said ‘yes”. They searched, found my name and I was allowed to enter the embassy.
3. Last month when I went to University of Lagos to pay for a convocation gown so that I could participate in the graduation ceremony for the new higher degree graduates, I had the third similar experience. As I indicated my desire to pay the prescribed fee, the officer in charge asked me: Ís your name on the list’? I said Yes’ my name is on the list of new graduates. He confirmed this and accepted the fee for the convocation gown.
4. From these three experiences, it occurs to me that if the people of this world could keep a list and follow it strictly, and then there must also be a list in heaven. If there is a list to enter important places on earth, then there must also be a list to enter heaven. Just as there is a list to important places on earth, there is also a list to heaven. Just as s security men are guiding the gate of important places on earth, there are also angels guiding the gate of heaven.
The only difference in the list of earth and list of heaven is that whereas the worst that can occur if your name is not found in the list of earth is that you will be denied entrance, the situation is different in heaven. Anyone no matter low or mighty, whose name is not found in the list of heaven, will not simply be denied entrance, but be thrown intothe lake of fire.

I pray that your name shall be written in the register of heaven and you will not end in the lake of fire in Jesus mighty name.
As I round up this message, the simple question I have for you is that is your name on the list?
Check the works of your hands, check your mind, and examine your life style.
Are you a liar, cheat, idolator, fornicator, adulterer, sexual prevent, wicked, or backslider? Are you truly a born again Christian? If rapture occurs now are you very sure, you will make heaven? If you die now, are you sure, you name will be found in the book of life, when you get to the gate of heaven? Is your name on the list? If No, repent now and be saved in Jesus name.
Is the name of your father or mother on the list? Is the name of your children, relations and friends on the list? Do you need to intercede for them to repent from sin?
