Thankfully God has given us instructions and guidance in the Bible on the hindrances to intimacy with God, and how to have close fellowship with Him. God has also given us a way to reconnect with Him and re-establish our intimate fellowship with God. It is called confession. If there are sinful things in our lives that are hindrances to our intimacy with God, we can humbly go to God and confess our sin(s) and receive forgiveness.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”   1 John 1:9
