How to overcome past failures and achieve success

Read: Rev 22:12-13

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” (Rev 22:13). The Godhead loves names and titles. Of the Trinity, Jesus Christ exceeds the Father and the Holy Spirit in the name game. In the Bible, God the Father has a minimum of 20 names and titles. God the Holy Spirit has a minimum of 30 while Jesus Christ has a minimum of 100.Yet none of these is for fun. Each of God’s names or titles is meant to accomplish something in our lives. I pray that this year, you will have the full benefits of His Names. In today’s reading we are introduced to Jesus Christ as the Alpha. Alpha is the first letter in Greek Alphabet. It also means the beginning. Jesus Christ as Alpha has several implications to modern day believers. First, everything has a beginning – an origin or source.

Jesus is that origin. He is the source of every living and nonliving thing. John 1:3 says, “All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made”. You did not originate from your parents but from Jesus Christ. You did not originate from apes or amoeba but from Jesus. You are a divine product that came out of God. Being your origin, He is your source. That is why He is not happy whenever you look away from Him to a fellow man. Welcome to your origin. The day you truly embrace this truth from your heart, you will stop running after man for help. Who can help you more than the One you came out from?

The implication of Jesus as Alpha – the beginning, is that He can give you a new beginning. Have you messed up in a particular assignment? Have you come to the end of the road? As long as you are connected with The Beginning, your present situation is not final. He will make a way out for you.

He will give you a second chance. Who said because you tried but failed you cannot make it again? The fellow is a liar as far as The Beginning is concerned. You can begin again. Did you give up hope in pursuit of that career, spouse or ministry as led by God? Dust up your hope. You are beginning afresh because this season, The Beginning is releasing the strength for a fresh start into you. Worship the Alpha regularly from today. Worship Him for being The Beginning.

The grace to begin again is released to you now. Use it wisely.
