I need faith to overcome obstacles and problems

Memorise: “For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper” (Ps 72:12)

Read: Psalm 71:5-9

The sons of the prophets were permitted by Elisha and even accompanied by him on their expansion programme, yet they ran into a problem: they lost the borrowed axe head (2 Kings 6:1-7). This tells us that even when you are in God’s will and working in total obedience to God, you can still run into problems. Some believers have had to doubt if God was still in something they started within God’s will because of the challenges they faced on the way.faithUnfortunately, some have backed out of God’s will, assignment or instruction because of such problems. You must expect Satan’s challenge whenever you set out to do God’s will. Infact, if you never get such a challenge or opposition over the particular project or mission, it is doubtful if God is in it. The more important it is to God, the more Satan will attack it with every weapon at his disposal.

A brother set out to write his first book as clearly led of God. Satan fought virtually every stage of the production of that book. A lot of things went wrong at different times. At a stage, the printer’s wife wondered why the project had caused her husband so much stress. After all, he had handled several books before. Did God ask you to go ahead and marry a particular spouse but now you are thinking of calling it quits? Don’t! If you both had the assurance that God was in it from the beginning, jointly combat the forces. You will overcome!

After the young student spotted where the axe-head dropped in the Jordan, Elisha cut a tree and hurled it in. If you have ever experienced a river or swimming pool before, you would know that a piece of wood will float on water, while iron will sink. But this wood took a supernatural form just because anointed hands had touched it. The wood was sent on an errand and it adjusted its form so as to perform the assignment.

As soon as the wood entered the Jordan river, the missing axe head began to float. John 15:1 says Jesus is the Vine. Wherever you introduce Him, there must be spectacular events. God is able to reverse the irreversible. What is amiss in your life today? Cast in this Heavenly Vine and your iron will surface. Whatever good thing you have lost shall be recovered this season. Put your hope in the Lord and call upon Him in faith. He will make a way for you.

Any project or ministry that is not heavily fought by satanic powers is of no threat to them and therefore of no Heavenly value.
