The story of the Good Samaritan is one of the most popular biblical stories.
Who is a good Samaritan and what are the qualities of a good Samaritan?
- He is compassionate – vs. 33 – But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
- He is fearless and courageous – vs. 34 – And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
- He is caring – vs. 34
- He is loving – vs. 34
- He is accommodating
- He is patient
- He spends his money on strangers
7. Does not maltreat strangers
8. Share his wealth with others – 34, vs. 35 – 34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

10. He is not idle – vs. 35
11. He is merciful – 37 – And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
12. He loves his neighbour as himself – vs. 37 – And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
13. He abandoned his journey to take care of a situation – vs. 34
14. He does not help for selfish motives or personal gain – vs. 35
15. He is not poor – vs. 35
16. He is not a debtor – vs. 35 
17. He is a good nurse – vs. 34
