Psalm 49

In Psalm 49 vs 16, David advised that you should not put your heart in riches.
And in vs 17, David gave the reason that of all the riches you acquired, you will not take it to the grave when you die.
So, what David was saying is that though riches are good, they are only needful for you when you are alive.
The primary desire of every Christian is to be able to meet basic needs.
If God blesses you and you have excess income, use it to meet the needs of others because when you die the riches will not follow you to the grave.
In conclusion, know for certain that you can not escape death even at good old age.
Therefore, do not weary yourself to acquire and hold unto riches that will die with you.
