Made For The Glory Of The Lord
When God created us, He made each of us an original. Yet, despite the diversity among humans, we all share one primary attribute in common. God made you and me for His glory.
Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them. Isaiah 43:7
God added a slight disclaimer for those who He made for His glory. He made every person in His image. Only the ones, though, who claim Him as their God can bring Him glory.
At the beginning of this chapter, the prophet Isaiah addressed the Israelites. He used a word that turned a message for the people in his day to include us today. He said, “I have ransomed you.”
But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. Isaiah 43:1

Within the nation of Israel, not everyone claimed the Lord as their God. Some went through the motions of worship to appease others, just as some churchgoers do today.
Isaiah continued in the next verse by describing how God protects His people. Have you ever wondered how many times God’s hand has protected you without knowing He did it?
I recall once having to make a detour because an accident had occurred just minutes prior. It dawned on me that, for some reason, something had delayed me for a couple of minutes.
Did God cause that delay to protect me from that accident? He could have. We don’t know how many times He has made a way for us to make it through. Isaiah talked about God’s protection.
God Protects Those Who Claim Him
- When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
- When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.
- And when you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. Isaiah 43:2
The Lord created most beings with an instinct to care for and keep their young together. One day, God will gather all those He has made who claim Him. Will that include you?
Do not be afraid, for I am with you. I will gather you and your children from east and west. I will say to the north and south, Bring my sons and daughters back to Israel from the distant corners of the earth. Isaiah 43:5-6
The Jewish nation as a whole will continue to reject Jesus as their Messiah. That will continue right up until the middle of the tribulation period. Yet they remain God’s chosen nation.
That doesn’t diminish the call that God has placed on the lives of Christians. He has graphed us as the sons and daughters of Abraham. With that, He made you and me a part of His family.
The prince of this world has tried to lead Israel astray plus spread them across the globe. He has concocted other gods to distract the Israelites and those who follow Christ.

God In His Glory Declared that He is the Lord.
Through the prophet Isaiah, God issued a challenge to the false gods to do the things He can do. The Lord considered the people who follow those gods as spiritually blind and deaf.
Bring out the people who have eyes but are blind, who have ears but are deaf. Gather the nations together! Assemble the peoples of the world! Which of their idols has ever foretold such things? Which can predict what will happen tomorrow? Where are the witnesses of such predictions? Who can verify that they spoke the truth? Isaiah 43:8-9
One of the things I like about the Bible is God doesn’t try to convince us of His Deity. When Moses asked Him His name, God said, “I AM that I AM.” He also declared Himself again.
There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be. I, yes I, am the Lord, and there is no other Savior. Isaiah 43:10-11
The Lord continued by asking Isaiah’s audience if they needed proof that He was God. He essentially said that He didn’t need to prove it. He just pointed them to their history books.
I predicted your rescue, then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world. No foreign god has ever done this. You are witnesses that I am the only God,” says the Lord. Isaiah 43:12
God said that He made you for His glory! What does made for His glory mean? When we claim Him as our God, then our lives, actions, and accomplishments reflect God’s glory back to Him.
He made us, you and me, so we will choose to live in alignment with God’s will. Then, our lives will point others toward Him so they can see the greatness and glory of God.

God Made You and Called You
God has a plan for our redemption, and it lasts for eternity. Our salvation not only benefits us, but He has called the redeemed to be part of His glory.
“From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done.” Isaiah 43:13
God has called you to accept Jesus as your Savior. He said, no one can take that away from you. No one can rob you of your salvation.
I know many believe that once you receive the Lord, you can never lose your salvation. Now, I don’t write these articles to make denominational or doctrinal stands.
With that said, let me ask you, why did the Apostle Paul write most of the New Testament? He instructed us on how we should live and maintain our Christian lives.
When you turn to Jesus as your Savior, you proclaim salvation. And why not? You have made a commitment to live by. Peter talked about those who have made a decision for Christ.
Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see. 1 Peter 1:3-5

God Made You For His Glory, Stick With It
Please, don’t take your salvation lightly. If you believe that you’re good once you get saved, that’s fine. According to Paul’s writings, no one can live like the devil and still make it to heaven.
In other words, look forward to the day of salvation instead of just hoping you will make it. God made you for His glory. So, let the glory of God shine through your life every day.
Lord, we rejoice because you have made us for your glory. On days when we get distracted or discouraged, help us to get back on track.
