This is a post on Pastor Ibiyeomie statement about the poor. As usual, any perceived error from a minister of the gospel or a man of God is quickly taken up as an opportunity to throw punches at them.
The devil is really using this strategy and also using even self-acclaimed Christians to achieve this evil objective.
Well I wrote a comment on this ongoing social media outburst in Pastor Ibiyeomie statement about the poor. I want you to see my comments in this post.
Let em also read from you.
Pastor Ibiyeomie statement about the poor: what is it all about?
The pastor Ibiyeomie statement about the poor and Jesus Christ is all about a statement made by Pastor David Ibiyeomie that Jesus hates the poor. This was made during a teaching or preaching exercise at his church.
Well, does he really meant it that way? What was he trying to pass across? I believe strongly he does not meant it that way and hus motive was not to make people believe Jesus hates the poor.
You need to look at my comments to see through my mind what I think about this issue.
Check the motive of Pastor David Ibiyeomie
To those who have brought out the daggers to destroy Pastor Ibiyeomie because of his statement on Jesus and the poor, I think we need to check the motives behind his statement. We also need to check his track records on how he has helped the poor himself both as an individual and as a ministry.

Jesus hates poverty
I believe he was trying to show how Jesus hated poverty and he was teaching his own congratulation. If Jesus doesn’t hate poverty, then the Bible won’t say He became poor so that we can be rich. Over 50% of His parables has something to do with how money is made or how wealth is created.
Poverty is not a tool in the hands of God for His children. If we claim Abraham’s blessings then we should love how God decorated Abraham with wealth and riches.
God loves the poor but hates poverty
God loves the poor but hates poverty. The poor shall not cease from the land because God knows there will always be people who will not embrace God’s revelations about why poverty is of the devil.
The reason why Africa is bedeviled with demonic poverty today.
Pastor Ibiyeomie statement about the poor and Jesus
While not holding brief for Pastor Ibiyeomie, I believe a man of God who loves to give to the poor will not actually mean to tell the world that Jesus hates the poor.
He probably made the statement while trying to pass a message across about poverty. Some of us teachers understand how sometimes we say something that we don’t really mean in our efforts to pass a message across.
Immature social media users
Then it does not really show maturity when all we wait for is to drag men of God in the mud on the social media when we think they make an error.
If you don’t like his sermon, you pass by. Don’t attend his church. Don’t buy his books. Don’t even watch his videos. There are men of God I won’t watch their videos or read their articles.
The judgement of a true man of God is not in your mouth. Even the judgement of anyone is not in anyone’s hands or mouth – God is the final judge.

Here is my direct comment to a friend’s post on social media.
And do you think Pastor Ibiyeomie actually meant it that way! No. Not from a man himself who has done some.much for the poor himself. Can we check the motives behind the statement?
Really, we have to be careful to make comments on issues like this. We should also check the track records of the one who made the statement.
Pastor Ibiyeomie won’t really meant it that way if he also is one of the pastors who release his resources to help the poor.
Sir, let us assume he is wrong or he made a mistake then you are wrong too with the statement you made against Bishop Oyedepo. So if Ibiyeomie made a mistake, then Oyedepo has to be dragged in mud on the social media because he is his son.
So if you child make a mistake then you the father has to be dragged in the mud.
Then s sweet applause to Pastor Damina – the minister of corrections. A sweet applause. Everyone will surely receive their own rewards.
In case you may just read how Pastor Ibiyeomie has helped the poor in his ministry.
I want to read you comment.
