Luke 6 verse 12

And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

The night is a time of quietness; as such it is easier to pray with concentration at night.
The night is the beginning of the day; as such it is wiser to wake up at 12 midnight and command the morning.
The night is normally work-free time; as such it is a good time to talk to God in prayers.
Praying at night requires sacrifices, as it is more stressful to pray at night than during the day; as such the sacrifices of praying at night rather than the day is more acceptable to God.
Powers of darkness start operating at exactly 12 midnight; as such it is better to carry the battle to where the fight is the fiercest.
Almost all evils take place at night; as such it is wiser to keep vigil to wade off evil attract goodness.
Most evils are planted into the lives of men through dream pollution when they sleep; as such it is better to stop demons from polluting your life before they stop you.
God executes judgment at night; as such it’s good to cry to God to visit the camp of Egyptians at midnight and smite their firstborn.
The night hours stand for darkness. Prayers at night shine light into darkness and destroy the works of darkness.
Then night 12am – 6am is a quarter of the day and it is wasteful to spend all this time in sleeping daily.

How to prepare for night prayers

Sleep for some hours during the day, as you cannot cheat nature.
Set your alarm clock minutes before 12 midnight or else you will sleep off.
Avoid sleeping in a comfortable place like a mattress in your normal sleeping position. Otherwise, you will not be able to wake up.
Break for a day or two after praying all night for 3-7 days in order to relax your body.
Ask someone to wake you up in order to avoid over-sleeping.
Drink plenty of water before you sleep in the evening, this will force you to wake up and urinate.
Have a prayer partner if possible. Iron sharpens iron and it is easier to pray collectively rather than praying alone.
If you plan to start praying at 12 midnight, it is not wise to watch television up till 11:30pm. Sleep early and keep off worldly pleasures.
Eat light hours before your midnight prayer. If you eat heavy food, you will find it difficult to wake up and pray.
Prepare for your midnight prayers. Write out the scriptures you will study, the hymns you will sing, and your prayer request before you start. Don’t start midnight prayer without focus.

How you should pray at midnight

Stand up and pray, otherwise, you will sleep off
Start with praise, worship, and sing hymns to God.
Plead the blood of Jesus to paralyze environmental demons. Pray, confess, and repent of your sins
Speak extensively in the Holy Ghost
Pray in your understanding
Stand on deliverance scriptures, you have complied beforehand.
Say violent prayers. Night vigil is a time of spiritual warfare.
Pray deliverance prayers. 12 midnight – 3am is the best time. Spend at least 3 quality hours and go to bed early to relax your brain, regain strength and hear from God.
Pray consistently at midnight. Make it a routine rather than a one-off activity.

What happens when you pray at night?

Satan and its agents become very angry, as your prayer disturbs their evil associations
The powers of darkness become very sad because your prayers will release you from bondage.
The dark powers become very furious as you are seen to be intruding into their hour, and their territory. As your prayers disorganize their activities, they will make several moves to abort your prayers.
Evil spirits became restless and fearful as your prayers will kill their powers, truncate their activities, and wound their spiritual powers.
Evil meetings become scattered and disorganized with the spiritual fire you generate from your powers.
Evil powers reinforce and network to stop your prayers by any means.
Demons start to flee and evil spirits are cast out.
Fallen angels begin to fall down while others become burned alive.

In God’s kingdom

The Angels rejoice and are ready to take up your prayers and come down with answers to your prayers.
The Holy Spirits strengthens you to prayer harder and longer
Heaven rejoices and your heavens become opened
Your prayer altar receives fresh fire and you are able to pray better.
Your inner man receives fresh fire and you become more sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
Your flesh dies and your spirit comes alive.
Yokes are broken, burdens are lifted up
The power of God pushes you into strange doors and supernatural breakthroughs
Evil is waded off your life and household.
You receive divine direction and see the vision of the future.
