Remember Me?

Box and Cover of the Beautiful Word Coloring Bible

Hey! It’s been a while. In case you don’t remember, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Lauren Sparks. I used to publish here two or three times a week. And, well, life happened. I needed to get a full time job which left me with zero time at home without my husband and daughter with special needs. So writing had to go on the back burner.

So what am I doing here now? I had to take a minute to tell you about the Beautiful Word Coloring Bible. I have personally found coloring scripture to be an incredible way to meditate on God’s Word. It’s also relaxing. I love to dissect and study the Bible, but sometimes it’s just nice to sit with it. And this NIV Bible has hundreds of verses to color as well as wide, lined margins to jot down your notes, thoughts and revelations.

The paper is thicker than most Bibles to hold up to coloring, doodling and writing. The leather-like cover is lovely and feminine and lies flat when opened for easier study. There are side margin and full page illustrations just waiting for creative inspiration.

Use this link to add a whole new dimension to your time with the Lord. And I think it would make a wonderful gift, too. Thank you for welcoming me back so I could share this Beautiful Word Coloring Bible with you. And maybe it won’t be over a year before I pop back up here again. But just in case, I’ll wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving, a very merry Christmas and many blessing for the new year.

    Love,

    Lauren

Do You Feel Accepted or Rejected?

I went to bed, pulled the covers over my head, and had a big ole pity party. Once again, I had been rejected…come in second place…told I wasn’t quite what “they” were looking for. The scarlet letter loomed large. It wasn’t an A like Hester Prynne’s in Nathaniel Hawthorne’s book I had read in high school, but a big fat R that I chose to wear when life turned ugly. Read more...

        Sleeping and Waiting

Sleep is crucial to our health. It’s our body’s time to restore itself and make sure we’re ready for the day ahead! Waiting, in a way, is like the “sleep” portion of our faith. While we wait, God works. And imagine all the incredible work He’s doing!
