TIP FOR WAITERS
Memorise: “Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught” ( Luke 5:4 )
Read: Luke 5:3-4

“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught” ( Luke 5:4 ).
After Peter made his boat available for the Master’s use and waited on Him until He was through, the Lord rewarded him. There is a tip for waiters.
If you visit any five star hotel, you will be approached by waiters. Their business is to serve you satisfactorily. They will take your order and deliver it. They will wait on you to make your stay most comfortable. When you are about to leave, it is expected that besides settling your bill, you should give the waiter a tip. This is just to say ‘Thank you’ to the fellow.
In the same way, for everyone that can become the Lord’s waiter, provide and meet His needs satisfactorily and wait on Him until He is satisfied, the Lord owes a tip. Jesus knows how to appreciate those who wait on Him. Even when He is the Source of your blessings, He will still say, ‘Thank you’ for offering Him a part -particularly when you wait on Him with the substance you are offering Him.
Hence, Hebrews 6:10 says, “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister”.
This scripture describes the act of receiving without appreciation as an act of unrighteousness. It is robbery! That means God always drops tips on the table for those who wait on Him. He never owes any man.
Unlike men whose tip is an insignificant sum, God’s tip could be embarrassing. Ever heard of any hotel guest dropping one million dollars as tip for his waiter or waitress? That is what God’s tip looks like. The tip the Lord dropped on Peter’s table sank two ships with fishes.
Infact, if there were 100 boats, all would have met the same fate. Do you wait on the Lord? Are you God’s waiter or waitress?
Do you wait on Him with your talents, knowledge, time, money, material possessions, family? It is only God’s waiter that can receive God’s tip. Are you His waiter? If you are not waiting on God, you will surely wait on man. Whatever tip a man gives you will always be inadequate. Become His waiter today!
