Share Jesus Without Fear And With Confidence - Pursuing Intimacy With God

Share Jesus Without Fear And With Confidence

You can learn to overcome your fear to share Jesus with others. You can learn, with God’s help, to share Jesus without fear and with confidence. Where does our confidence come from ?

When you put your faith in Christ and were saved, God sent His Holy Spirit into you. God has given you everything you need to overcome fear and share Jesus without fear and with confidence. Everything you need to fulfill God’s work and mission is provided by the Holy Spirit.

God’s word is full of great truths and promises that show that He will make sure you are successful in sharing Jesus. You just need to step out in faith and do your part. Your part is to share the Gospel message and share Jesus with others. The Holy Spirit’s part is to do the rest and to produce the results.

You Can Learn To Share Jesus Without Fear And With Confidence

Learning the great truths and promises that are in God’s word is the first step to sharing Jesus without fear and with confidence. The Bible reveals that God provides everything that you need to share Jesus without fear and with confidence. And God promises in His word that if you will do your part, then He will take care of the results.

Your part is to obey Jesus command in Matthew 4:19 “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” A fisher of men is someone who actively shares Jesus with others in their daily life, and makes disciples. God only commands you to do your part, which is to share Jesus with as many people as you can. Then He will produce the fruit and the results. You do not need to try to produce the results. God will take care of the results, for His glory.

How To Successfully Share Jesus With Others

To be successful in sharing Jesus with others, you only need to do your part. If you follow these 3 steps, then you will be successful. You will be able to share Jesus without fear and with confidence:

  1.  Do your part – obey Jesus and faithfully share Jesus and the Gospel message with others
  2.  Share in the power of the Holy Spirit (this is vital)
  3.  Leave the results in God’s hands

Most people think that if the person does not accept Christ they have failed. The other person does not need to accept Christ and be saved in order for you to be successful. If you do what God wants you to do, to share Jesus with others, and if you do it in the power of the Holy Spirit, and if you leave the results in God’s hand, then you are successful. At the very least you have planted the seed of the Gospel in the other person’s heart. Or you have helped the person to move one step closer to salvation. Or you have watered the seed someone else planted. You will never fail if you obey Jesus and do your part.

John 15:8 “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.”

Where Does Our Confidence Come From ?

You can definitely learn to share Jesus without fear and with confidence. When Jesus commanded you to follow Him and be “fishers of men” in Matthew 4:19, He did not say “do your best to be fishers of men”. He said that if you obey & follow Him, He will make you a fisher of men. He promised to empower you to be fishers of men if you will obey and do our part.

Jesus says this in a different way in Acts 1:8 – “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Jesus promised to enable and empower you if you will do your part. Your part is to share Jesus with as many people as you possible can.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to fulfill God’s kingdom work & mission of reaching lost people and making disciples. Jesus promised us the power to do the work. His promises are one of the reasons we can share Jesus without fear and with confidence. God always fulfills His promise. He always does what He says He will do.

There Is Great Power In The Gospel Message & God’s Word

We need to recognize that when we share Jesus and the Gospel message, there is great power. The message itself contains the great power of God. We are sharing the powerful word of God. And God promises that if we will do our part and share Jesus and the Gospel message, that He will make sure it accomplishes what He wants to accomplish. God will make sure that we do not fail, if we will do our part.

Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”

Isaiah 55:11 “So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth. It will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.”

The Holy Spirit Provides Everything We Need To Share Jesus

Many people are afraid to share Jesus. Many think “I can’t do that” or “I am too shy” or “I don’t know what to say” or “I am afraid I will mess it up”. Notice what the first word in all of those sentences is. “I”. Our focus is on ourselves. We need to focus on God and what He promised. And we need to focus on what God’s word tells us about how the Holy Spirit will provide everything we need.

Power to Share Jesus – Acts 1:8 – “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

Boldness & Courage to Overcome Fear – Acts 4:29,31 – “And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Your bond-servants may speak Your word with all confidence…  And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.”

If You Don’t Know What To Say – Matthew 10:18-20 – “you will even be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say. For it will be given you in that hour what you are to say. For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.”

The Holy Spirit Convicts & Convinces People They Need Jesus

It is not our job to convict people of their sin. It is not our job to convince people that they are sinners and they need a Savior. And it is not our job to convince people or reveal the truth to them that Jesus is the only Savior. And it is not our job to save people from their sins. These are the jobs of the Holy Spirit. Our only job is to be faithful and share Jesus and the Gospel message. The Holy Spirit will empower us to do what Jesus commands us to do. And the Holy Spirit will then do His part in the other person, and will also produce the results.

John 16:8 “And He, when He (the Holy Spirit) comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.”

Acts 2:37-38 “Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, [al]what shall we do?” Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

We want to encourage you to obey Jesus’ command to be a fisher of men, and join Him in His kingdom mission. God will empower you to share Jesus without fear and with confidence. He will make you successful. And He will take care of the results, for His glory.
