- Able, capable, God fearing (Exodus 18 vs. 21; 2 Samuel 23 vs. 3; Ezra 7 vs. 25)
- God fearing, and truly religious. Proverbs 9 vs 10
- Truthful, (Exodus 18 vs. 21; Deut. 16 vs. 19) Honest, and just.
- Men who hate covetousness, doing all things for God’s sake and the love of men, labouring to promote the best public good so as to inspire others to live upright lives.
- Of a disposition to refuse bribes. Provebs 10 vs 2
- Wise and Understanding (Deut. 1 vs. 13)
- Prominent in the tribes (Deut. 1 vs. 13)
