Exodus 20 vs. 5

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

  1. Was (or is) your father an idolater? If yes, as God promise, He may be visiting the sins of your father on your life
  2. Who did your father, grand father and great-grand father serve? God or Satan?  If it was Satan, then God may be visiting the Idolatry sins of your ancestors on you.
  3. Has your family line know Christ for four generations (160 years)? If no, then you may still be labouring under the punishment of idolatry
