Judges 9 vs. 24 – The cruelty done to the threescore and ten sons of Jerubbaal might come, and their blood be laid upon Abimelech their brother, which slew them; and upon the men of Shechem, which aided him in the killing of his brethren.
- In this passage, Abimelech killed his half brothers and half sisters, 40 of them, all children of his father.
- The Bible states that their blood is upon Abimelech and all those that assisted him to commit the murder.
- God does forgive our past evils, when we repent, but we will still undergo some sort of punishment on earth.
