What is the written Word of God?

The written Word of God, with respect to this post, represent:

  • The written Word of God in the Bible
  • The will of God for you
  • The instructions of God to you
  • The plan of God for you

You don’t kick against it’s written

You don’t kick against it’s written or the written Word of God. You don’t walk against the will and plan of God for your life.

Peter tried to kick against, ‘It is written’. Jesus said in Mark 14:27-28

[27]Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered.’

[28]“But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.”

But Peter said in Mark 14:29,31

[29]Peter said to Him, “Even if all are made to stumble, yet I will not be. ”

[31]But he spoke more vehemently, “If I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And they all said likewise.

But Jesus quoted what was already written in Zechariah 13:7

[7]“Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion,” Says the Lord of hosts. “Strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones.

God’s Word is the Boss

‘It is written’ is God’s will and God’s will is His Word. When It is written, you don’t fight it or do something contrary. When you do, you don’t get results. It only leads to frustrations! Peter found this out when he later denied Jesus three times.

You must make it a top priority to learn about what’s written in the Word of God and make an effort to do His will.

What the Angels Said — Carol McLeod Ministries

Angels are an intrinsic and dynamic part of the Christmas story. Christmas simply would not have occurred without these God-sent messengers from heaven. We don’t know if the angels were clothed in flowing, white robes, if they had a halo that sparkled, or even if they flew with wings into the Christ

    The Mall or the Manger?

Much has changed since the God of the universe decorated the night sky with the star of Bethlehem and directed the choir of angels in a chorus announcing the birth of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. But the commercialism doesn’t have to rule in our hearts and homes. This year let’s focus on the Christ Child and remember the true meaning of the holiday season. As we turn our eyes to the Babe in the manger, we will not view Christmas as a dreaded obligation or a major retail event. It will be a time of joyous celebration, honoring the One Who came to give us eternal life and worshipping our Heavenly Father.
