Run the Race

Reflections on Psalms 35

By Tanja

“Lord, you have seen this; do not be silent. Do not be far from me, Lord. Awake, and rise to my defense! Contend for me, my God and Lord.” Psalms 35:22-23

Sometimes we are fighting for our life. We are walking through this life with hard times. We have sickness, having heartache and carrying misery. We might want to run like an athlete and show that we can achieve our set goals, yet something weighs us down.

Apostle Paul says:

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

Let’s be encouraged to keep running like an athlete. If we are going forward with God, that is a worthy cause and a life of faith. Let’s keep in mind what is eternal and live by faith. Where do your eyes need to focus? Keep your eyes on Jesus, as He helps you live the Christian life. Have you lived your life glorifying and worshipping the Lord? That’s what counts. There is evident opposition to a godly life, but the Lord is with you. May the Lord comfort You and help you today!

Your life might just be beautiful!

Your life might just be beautiful!

Keep your eyes on Jesus, as He helps you live the Christian life.
May the Lord comfort You and help you today! Your life might just be beautiful!
