If God Allows Divorce, He Also Allows Remarriage - Divorce Minister

When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.

-Deuteronomy 24:1-2, KJV (emphasis mine)

This is made explicit in the passage out of Deuteronomy 24. No grey area exists here. The certificate of divorce–i.e. official paperwork–protects the divorced woman allowing her to remarry.

I am mystified by those pastors who agree some instances allow for divorce yet are adamant that God never allows remarriage. This stance is not consistent with the idea of allowing a divorce recognized by God.

If you are truly divorced in the eyes of God, then that means you are free from the bonds of that marriage.

A divorced person in God’s eyes then is free to remarry. That is what it means to be divorced as opposed to just separated. If he or she is not truly free from the bonds of that marriage and thereby able to remarry, then I maintain the person is not really divorced in God’s eyes.

Either God recognizes the divorce or God does not.

If God recognizes the divorce, then the person is free to marry as any single person is.

It really is that simple.
