Exodus 1 vs 17

But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them but saved the men children alive.

1. The midwives feared the Lord.
2. You shall fear God and not fear man, institutions, or kings of the earth.
3. You should fear God and refuse to do evil or commit sin.
4. Fear the Lord thy God.
5. The Egyptian midwives were instructed to kill every Israelite male child at birth, but because they feared God, they did not kill the babies.
6. Those midwives were not even God’s followers but feared the unseen God.
7. The midwives were idolaters, but their conscience told them it was an act of wickedness, and because of the fear of God, they did not carry out the king’s evil command.
8. You shall not carry out the evil command in Jesus’ name
9. The fear of God shall consume you in your place of work.
10. The fear of God did not allow Joseph to commit adultery.
11. The fear of God shall prevent you from sinning in Jesus’ name.
12. Let the fear of God consume and guide you.
13. Let the fear of God lead you into holiness and righteousness in Jesus’ name.
14. You shall not carry out that evil command in Jesus’ name.
15. You shall not commit that evil in Jesus’
16. You shall not commit that wickedness in Jesus’ name.
17. You shall not steal in your office because of the fear of God; in Jesus’ name
18. You shall not commit that immorality because of the fear of God in Jesus’ name. Amen
