Praying Scripture— Peace

Scripture

“I will lie down and sleep peacefully, for you, Lord, make me safe and secure.”

Psalms 4:8— NET

And

“And now, dear friends, may the Lord of peace Himself grace you with peace always and in everything. May the Lord be present with all of you.”

2 Thessalonians 3:16— VOICE

And

“Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed, you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always].”

Colossians 3:15— AMP

Pray

Dear Father, when I need comfort, help me remember that You’re holding onto me. Let me rest peacefully in Your arms. Help me to depend on You for my strength. Turn my eyes toward You. I want to be a sweet blessing to others when the storms around me rage; help me to look to You for peace. Quiet the storm in my heart and comfort this frail child of Yours. I want You to be my refuge, the place where I retreat each day. Show me how to walk in peace so I can shine Your love on others.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen
