A Butterfly Box? — Michelle Blan

The legal stuff required by the FCC: I was sent the September Butterfly Box to review by FrontGate Media. This is not a paid review and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ok, let’s start with this – who doesn’t like getting mail? I am not talking about bills, but rather the good stuff. You know, something you have been waiting for or a sweet surprise someone thought to send you. I don’t care if you are 4 or 94, getting mail is uplifting – and it makes you smile, doesn’t it?

I received this Butterfly Box in the mail recently and it sure did brighten my day.

What is a Butterfly Box? Well, it is a thoughtfully curated monthly subscription box to help you strengthen your relationship with God. Simple enough, right? Each month has a theme and September’s box was all about the power of prayer. Sure, we know how powerful prayer is so why would we pay someone to remind us? Life gets busy and chaotic at times (hence the focus of my blog, GodLove&Chaos). Anyways, sometimes we need that surprise in the mail – that little reminder – to add more gas to the fire. To spark our Christian life.

In my box, I got all sorts of goodies. There is a book by Stormie Omartian, The Power of a Praying Woman, a spiral (hardback) journal, a butterfly prayer bracelet, two flavors of Tea Drops, and a weekly prayer guide.

According to their creators, each month’s box will have a different theme. Here’s how they put them together:

  • The box is designed to illustrate a biblical theme and encourage spiritual growth.
  • It will include 5 to 6 items, often including jewelry, artwork, books, décor, personal pampering items, faith sharing cards, and other specialty items.
  • All items are carefully chosen and undergo a rigorous selection process.
  • Products are faith-based or support small Christian businesses.

There are so many subscription boxes on the market today. And, many of them offer some pretty cool treats each month. But, let’s be honest, there are some things that are more important in life, right? And, God is one of them. So, if you are looking for a way to brighten your life, this is a great investment. Of course, I have no doubt that it would also be appreciated by those around you, whether your best friend, spouse, sister, cousin, aunt, niece, granddaughter, mother, neighbor, co-worker, you name it!

Everyone could use a monthly reminder like this to keep things fresh and fired up!

Besides, it gives you a chance to try new things and maybe even gain new perspectives! For instance, did you ever hear of Tea Drops? Until now, I hadn’t. And, to be honest, I really had to read the package because I wasn’t sure what it was or how it worked! So, as I got ready to sit down and do some bible study, I made myself a cup of white vanilla tea. Yum! Woman-owned, organic, fair trade tea that is safer for the planet and tastes delish? Yes, please!

So, see, there is a lot of goodness in this box. Mine was just a one-time thing sent to me for review, but I definitely think I’d consider signing up for it. And, I am not just saying that because it is a review. Really. Because sometimes the days and weeks are long. Sometimes we have the best intentions. Sometimes we fall out of routine. And, sometimes we just need a little pick me up. A Butterfly Box in your mailbox. Uplifted you are!
