Memorise: “For thou LORD wilt bless the righteous: with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield” (Psalms 5:6).

Read: Genesis 50:22-26

“For thou LORD wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him a with a shield” (Psalm 5:6). We have seen that God can favour us physically, materially, mentally, spiritually and ministerially.

Although some can enjoy one or more of these favours, it is possible to enjoy all-round favour which covers these areas and even more. We shall consider Joseph as an example of this. I studied the life of Joseph for two years and discovered that he was truly favoured.

From childhood, he was his father’s favourite to the envy of his brothers. Rachel his mother was most loved by his father, and the time of his birth added to the favour he received from his father (Genesis 37:3).

He had access to what his brothers did not. All through his years, there was never a record of him being sick even for once. He lived long to see his great grand children. Then one day, he informed his family he was about to leave them. After giving necessary instructions, he passed on at 110 years (Genesis 50:22-26).

Joseph was materially favoured. In Genesis 45:4-13, having being made a father to Pharaoh and lord of Egypt, he sent for a whole tribe to come for him to feed them for

the rest of their lives. We know how much it costs to feed a crowd for a week during the Convention. Yet, here was a man who could feed a large crowd for the rest of their lives. He must have been very wealthy.

In Genesis 41:39, Pharaoh testified that there was none as wise as Joseph. He had mental favour and as a result, his mental capacity was simply frightening. Maritally, he was favoured (Genesis 48:8-20).

He never looked for a wife. He was given Asenath who was from one of the most influential, wealthy and honourable families in Egypt. He had two sons and his home was an embodiment of peace, harmony and prosperity. Spiritually, he could dream, interpret dreams and tell the future.

inisterially, everything he touched prospered (Genesis 39:3, 21-23). Anywhere he went, he became the one at the helm of affairs, even in prison. He was anointed to lead. All-round favour shall be your portion this year in Jesus name. You will begin to enjoy favour before those who fought against you.

Using Psalm 5:12, ask God to surround you and your ministry with His favour.

Pray for all-round favour to be the portion of participants at the Holy Ghost services this year.
