Book Signing at Borders Folsom!
The Manuel Luz Trio (ML3) will be performing at the Borders Books and Music in Folsom from 2-4 PM on Sunday afternoon, December 13. We’ll be featuring music from my last three albums, as well as a few Christmas songs to keep the shoppers busy. ML3 features Steve Liberti on drums and Matt Sawhill on basses.
Between sets, I will also be signing my book, Imagine That. If you don’t have a copy, it would make a great present for that artist (or aspiring artist) in your life. If you already have a copy, you can still bring it if you’d like!
Book signings are a bit of a weird thing. I suspect that some people ask authors to sign their book copies not because they are famous, but because they are hoping they become famous. Others might do it just to say they did it. And then there are my friends, who give me an opportunity to say something personal (and I look forward to that!). In general though, I don’t see it as an ego thing as much as I look at it as an opportunity to encourage artists (either that or it is my way of defacing a perfectly good book!).
