Do I Believe in God or Do I Believe God? - Be Whole, Mom

What if we lived our lives as though every word that proceeded from the mouth of God were true and enough and all that there is?  That the promises that He’s made to His Chosen Children were dependable, true, everlasting, and sure….

It’s radical.  I know.  I’ve been there…subscriber to the almost god, the god who almost is able to provide for his children, but not quite enough so it is “wiser” to simply take precautions and set limits to ourselves in the name of god.

I don’t know.

I mean, what if we made the decision to believe what He says, to trust Him at face value, and live in faith?

To believe that when money is tight, but we are being good stewards of our finances, that He is going to make a way…

To believe that when a new life is entering into the world that He is going to provide

To trust that in the midst of major life changes and transitions, that He is with us and will get us through even this…

To choose to hold onto Him and His love when it feels like the whole world is crashing down around us…

To choose to believe that His Word is His bond and that what is written is what is True and what can be depended on when everything turns upside down….

I don’t know.

What if we decided to be all in?  To doubt the doubts of the Promise, and instead follow the Maker of the Promise.

Some people believe in fairy tales.  Others believe in Santa Claus.  Neither really offer much to the day-to-day reality of life…neither has structure.  Neither provides a promise.  Neither is a Rock.

We are faced with the choice: do we believe in God, like a fairy tale; a good idea with a “moral to the story?”

OR, do we believe God, all of His promises, Words, encouragements, assurances, and guidance for our lives, even when we don’t understand it all?  Even when nothing makes sense and all we know to do is simply proclaim “Here am I Lord, send me.”  Even when we feel like we have nothing left and no solutions to bring, and have no idea where we are going any more.

To know that we do not HAVE to do anything.  We do not have to bring anything.  We can simply come in Him, in His fullness: Love.  And THAT is enough.  Always.

What about that?  What about us?  What about you?  What about me?

What about me…

But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” ~ Joshua 24:15

UPDATED ADDITION: The Lord is Doing a New thing!

I had to update this post with the work the Lord is doing and what He did today.  Words alone could not capture His goodness, so I took a video right after this amazing event to be sure to capture the words closest to His work.

PLEASE share this post with fellow believers especially.  The Lord wants to use His Children for the glory of the Kingdom of God and the salvation of the lost!  Let us never forget that we are warring for souls.

Get Ready!

The Lord has placed much on my heart these past few days and I feel that we need to do a deep dive into prayer and the power of the believer in this dark age.

Sweet sister, you are a warrior for the Lord, and the enemy desperately is working to try to stunt your spiritual growth and maturity, place seeds of doubt and confusion within your mind, and send forces against you to cloud your judgment and discernment.

So, we are going to address these things.

This post is the introductory post to the upcoming 30 Days of Prayer Series to Equip, Arm, and Exhort my fellow sisters in Christ to put on the full armor of God and fight knowledgeably with well-wielded weaponry (see Day 1 post here).  The tool is only as strong as the warrior’s knowledge of how to use it, so it’s time for training to begin.

If you have not yet signed up for notification emails every time a post goes live, click here to do so now.  Or, if you love to read blogs and use Bloglovin’ you can follow me here and see new posts on that device.

Sweet sister, our Abba does not want us to be ignorant of these things, so let us lean into the training that the Spirit provides so we can be fully armed to stand.  Shalom.
