End of Days? Well…

With everything going on in the world these days, it has many people questioning whether or not this is it… you know, the end of the world as we know it. Are we really approaching the end of days as the Bible predicts?

If you read much online or listen to much news, then you have likely heard of the people coming forward with ideas that the end of the world is near. And, well, even if you have never believed a word they’ve said, recent events may have you second-guessing yourself.

    Could it be?

Now, before we go any further, you should know that I am not going to tell you whether or not the end is super close. Me? Know something so incredible? Pfft… don’t be silly. After all, the bible tells us that our Father God is the ONLY person who will know when that day comes.

“However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.”

    Matthew 24:36

Yet, we hear so many prophesying that it is near.

Here’s the thing – there have been earthquakes galore, devastating tornadoes, a plague-like virus, and what about all those locusts invading parts of Egypt?

Put it all together and it certainly sounds like we could be approaching something, right?

The sun will be darkened, the moon will give no light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

    Mark 24:29

    Find Comfort in God

Since we don’t know when the end of days will be here, doesn’t it make sense to just always be prepared? It could happen anytime and we can be anywhere. I wrote about this a couple of years ago. All we have to do is turn our hearts and our eyes to God now — and invite the calm and the peace in.

Doesn’t that just sound so good? It seems like the perfect sigh, the perfect deep breath, and the perfect, extended exhale.

    God.

Instead of worrying about that day – which, by the way, may not even come in our lifetime – what if we just accept God into our heart today and let him embrace us? Think about it — all the fear, all the worry, all the panic — every bit of it calmed by the all-encompassing love of God.

🙏🏻 You don’t have to worry.

🙏🏻 You don’t have to be afraid.

🙏🏻 You don’t have to stay awake at night thinking about all the what ifs.

    🙏🏻 You’ve got God – remember that.

And, yes, I am talking to myself as much as I am talking to you. It’s not easy. Everything that is going on in the world at this moment is scary. There are a lot of unknowns. We can get through this, though, if we can just keep our eyes on the one, known and recurring, always-present, factor – our Father God.

He is bigger than everything else in this world. And you are his.
