God will raise you up

“and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus:” (Ephesians 2:6)

God never intends for us to live defeated and constantly bombarded by the enemy. When Christ died, he overcame principalities and powers and he spoiled (disarmed) them, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. (Colossians 2:15)

Christ Jesus is seated in heavenly places far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name on earth. (Ephesians 1:21) And since we are seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places, then we are also seated above all principalities and powers. The enemy has no power and authority over us and the power that lives in us is far greater than any power that is in the world.

The promises in the word of God for us states that if we obey God that he would set us high above all the nations of the world. “And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down,” (Deuteronomy 28:1, 13)

We are no longer to live our lives believing the lies that we are defeated, living at the expense of others and waiting for other people to be kind to us in order to survive. It is up to us to grasp the understanding of who we are in God, grab hold of those promises, declare them daily over ourselves and walk in our God given authority.

We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus and we have received power to trample over every power of the enemy and absolutely nothing can harm us. (Romans 8:37; Luke 10:19) You are the righteousness of God and his official representatives on the earth. Therefore walk in this authority and live high above all of your challenges.

I am a trained Social Worker who currently provides professional leadership on a programme to support Social Work students and Newly Qualified Social Workers entering the Social Work Profession.

Born and raised in Jamaica in a Christian family where my father is an ordained Pastor and Deacon who has served for over 50 years in the ministry. My father is also a trained musician and our family can be described as a musical family. I grew up in a small farming community in St. Peter’s, St. Andrew and my parents also have a small farm.

I credit my gift of writing to my father who I watched and listened to over the years as he wrote sermons, poems and other recitals in his capacity in ministry. English has always been an easy subject for me and over the years I have developed an increased interest in writing.

I am a Trainer, I sing and have a passion for worship, the spoken word and the free flow of the prophetic anointing. I am married to my best friend Andrew Christopher Young who is an advanced Musician and whose music you can find on YouTube and Facebook. I am a trained Coach and Mentor and I love experimenting with food so I love cooking. I enjoy trying cultural dishes from across the world and I view food as an entry into cultures and languages.
