Please find more information in this post and get the required Godly wisdom you need for your life.

What is Godly wisdom for Christian living?

Godly wisdom for Christian living is the discovery and application of God’s wisdom for every aspect of your life as a Christian. Godly wisdom to live effective Christian lives has its source in God’s Word.

You cannot get it in any other place. Any information or wisdom you seek must not be contrary to God’s written Word or commandments.

Women who displayed foolish wisdom

Naturally the opposite of wisdom should be foolishness. That is exactly what these set of women displayed in the popular parable of 10 virgins told by Jesus Christ.

Now, it is very easy for you to nail those women because they demonstrated foolishness but you need to be careful. Their stories and errors are meant to give you Godly wisdom.

Please take your time to read their stories and find the wisdom you need to live an effective Christian life.

Godly wisdom for Christian living: Parable of 10 virgins

Have you read the parable of 10 virgins told by Jesus in Matthew 25:1-4. Please read it below:

[1]“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

[2]Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

[3]Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,

[4]but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5 Foolish virgins

The first set of 5 virgins were described this way;

  1. They were virgins (Christians)
  2. They took their lamps (they were active church workers)
  3. They were expecting Jesus second coming

But despite all these, the Bible says, they were FOOLISH!

What happened?

Careless Christians put up foolish wisdom

Though they were Christians but they were careless Christians who were only mindful of the present moment. They did not put the future into proper perspective and into their thoughts.

They weren’t truly prepared for the Bridegroom (Jesus). They were just Christians by mouth and not by heart!

Be mindful of God’s commandments

Let the stories of the two sets of five virgins inspire and give you wisdom. You must allow preparation for Jesus’ second from your heart. You must be truly mindful of eternity.

Activities in the church does not qualify you for this but a true relationship with the Word of God and His Spirit.
