How many people have I hurt with my hasty and superficial judgments? How many have you? When we feel the urge to judge, wouldn’t it be wiser (and more compassionate) to give others the benefit of the doubt? Isn’t this what we hope others would do for us?
Tactile paving is my nemesis. The yellow plates of bumps at the edge of a crosswalk or sidewalk were created to alert visually impaired people of an upcoming hazard. I’m so glad someone invented bumps that help, but for me, those bumps are a hazard! With God’s words to Jeremiah echoing in my mind,
