Luke 3 vs 14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
- There is a story in the Bible that Soldiers came to Jesus and asked him what they needed to do in other to be saved.
- It is also written that Jesus Christ answered them and told them they should be contended with their wages.
- This implies that most of the soldiers were involved in activities to make extra money illegally.
- We can relate it to the modern day when a uniformed officer collects bribes before they can do their job.
- It is also common to see a lot of security officers using their position to collect money forcefully from the citizens.
- The instruction Jesus Christ gave in this passage is that those practices are sinful.
- Everyone must be contented and satisfied with their wages and your high expenses are not an excuse for you to make money illegally.
- Make sure that every one of your income is made legally.
