PRAYER POINTS AGAINST DESTINY DESTROYERS
I woke up one morning with a dream, in which I saw a mob pursuing a thief. Some soldiers joined in the hot pursuit; eventually the mob and soldiers caught up with the thief and he was lynched. In the dream, I saw the thief gasping for breath, and dying.
The Holy Spirit then told me : ‘This man has just wasted his life’.
As I woke up from bed, I meditated on the incident, and the Holy Spirit gave me the understanding that, just as the thief in the dream wasted his life, a lot of people are indulging in activities that is turning their lives into a waste!
One can waste his/her life by smoking, drug addiction, drunkenness, indulgence in beer and alcoholic drinks, sexual perversion, risky behaviours or adventures, anxiety, worries, unhealthy eating habits like too much of starchy or sugary foods, and laziness
That’s why Ephesians 5:16 (NKJV) counselled us – 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Just as you can cause your life to be wasted, you can also be a victim of human and spiritual wickedness.
- Sometimes ago, holy Spirit showed me a revelation, someone was appointed to a high positon, but just as he was about to be sworn in to office, the person suddenly ran mad.
- A brother called me from UK two years ago, and said he has been married for 9 nine years. According to him, his wife has had 8 miscarriages, once every year, the wife was always getting pregnant every year, and always losing the pregnancy after few months.
For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches –Nahum 2:2
The thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they might have it more abundantly – John 10 vs 10.
- Cain was a wasting force, he wasted his brother out of jealousy and evil
- Samson the most powerful man, his life was wasted by a strange woman. He said the most tragic prayer, that he should die in the hands of his enemies
- Pharaoh was a wasting power, he held the Israelites in bondage and servitude
- Goliath was a wasting power, who challenged Israelites to a fight
- Haman was a wasting force, he prepared a gallow to hang Mordeccai and planned to kill all the Jews in one day.
- Saul was a wasting power in the Bible who sought to kill David more than 22 times.
- David himself was a wasting force when he backslided, he wasted the life of Uriah the husband of Bathsheba to cover up his sin.
- Herod was a wasting power, he killed thousands of children because of Jesus
- Herod was a waster, who cut off head of John the Baptist who accused him of adultery
- Herodias was a waster in the Bible. Mark 3:6 – Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.
- The good news also is that God is a wasting power, He wastes his enemies, an those that unrepentantly and stubbornly opposes his will.
How to overcome wasters
- Surrender your life to God, be born again
- Avoid habits and lifestyles that can cause you to waste your life.
- Resist the devil so that he can flee away. James 4 vs 7.
- Pray without ceasing –1 Thessalonians 5 vs 7.
- Wake up at midnights to pray, because your enemy is waiting to attack you when you sleep and snore- Mathew 13 vs 25.
- Serve God and walk with him
- Execute judgment on wasting forces
- Finally, if you don’t make heaven you life has been a complete waste
- My prayer for you today is that your life shall not be wasted in Jesus name
- The powers that are planning to waste your life shall be wasted
- The physical and spiritual forces that are waiting to catch up with you, like the mob caught up with the thief in the dream, these wasting forces shall be wasted in Jesus.
- The Pharisees and Herodians plotted to kill Jesus, my prayer is that those plotting to kill your business, to kill your marriage, to kill your career, to kill your health, to kill your salvation, to kill your virginity, to kill your promotion, to kill your academics, to kill any member of your household….the sword of God shall kill them in Jesus name
