No One Can Accuse You – Eliezer Gonzalez

All of us have things in our past that could be brought up to accuse us. Some of these might be things that are known publicly, or to those close to us. Others of these things might be things that no one knows about. But because none of us a perfect, we all have things that we regret in our past (and if we don’t, then we’re totally fooling ourselves).
Imagine if you could go to bed tonight, and wake up tomorrow knowing that nobody, anywhere, could accuse you of anything at all. Wouldn’t that be a wonderful feeling, the start of a brand new life? You can. In fact, you can have that reality right now!
The Bible records the story of a woman who was caught sleeping with someone else’s husband. What she had done in secret was now her public shame! And this one sin was only the tip of the iceberg in terms of what her life had been like!
There were many who could accuse her. And they did! A large crowd gathered around Jesus, before whom this broken woman had been thrown.
It’s wonderful how Jesus got rid of that angry mob, by reminding them that there were many who could accuse them of many things done wrong as well. But even more wonderful are Jesus’ words to this woman at his feet.:
When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her,[a] “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”
She said, “No one, Lord.”
And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you….” (John 8:10–11, NKJV).
In Christ, you are free, and no one can accuse you.
The Word of God exhausts the possibilities of human language to assure you that if you trust in Jesus, then no one – absolutely no one – will ever be able to accuse you. Listen to the powerful assurance that the apostle Paul gives you:
If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honour at God’s right hand, pleading for us (Romans 8:31–34, NLT).
In Christ, you are free, and no one can accuse you. You can have peace with God, peace with others, and peace within yourself. – Eliezer Gonzalez
