Mark 12 vs 38-39 38 And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, 39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

Mark 12:38 And he said to them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,

  1. Anyone who lives flamboyantly and does what is known as ‘show off’ is committing sin.
  2. Jesus Christ described them as people who dress in long clothing, like to be saluted in the market and open places, and those who say long prayers without meaning.
  3. You must live in humility and modesty in order not to be caught in the sin of flamboyant living.
