Peace & Joy-May Monthly SCRIPT-TIME

How do you keep your peace and joy when the world is falling around you! Not just talking about COVID-19,  but your own personal circumstances, goals and relationships.

God left us with the peace of Him and His  Joy which leads me on to this months Scripture. Work through at your own pace 🙂

Missed last Month catch up here… Who you say I am! April Monthly Script-Time

20200403_034402_0000.pngJhon 14-27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

What is your personal reflection of this passage? read the passage again slowly and hear what it is saying to you

Reflection:

Jesus walked with His disiplces for 3 years before He left, before His departure He left them His peace. How amanzing is that, we are also His disiples and He has also left us His peace.

I dont know about you, but this gets me real excited!  Jesus faced so many trials and confrontations with men, demons, and even satan himself. But he had been unphased, unshaken and unflappable.

How is this even possible? Well even though Jesus was the Son of God, he to was filled of the Holy Spirit, even Jesus rose early every morning to spent time and be with his Father in prayer.

Jesus’s peace is not like the worlds  “I do not give to you as the world gives.”
The world’s peace is circumstantial and focuses on the change the circumstances. Encouranging to get rid of the problem or to run away and quit.  If you are unable to get away, then medicate, over eat you catch my drift.

The peace of Jesus  is altogether different and has nothing to do with circumstances. It passes understanding (Phil 4:7). God is in control and he loves you, but you must be in union with him through Christ and the Holy Spirit to walk in perfect peace.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled,” and “and do not be afraid.”here is a you that is not your heart. The heart is good and helpful when you are in charge of it, and not the other way around.

What are your personal actions for this new season, what has God said to you personally through this scripture?

Is it remebering that you have been giving the Peace of God?

Is it too seek the Peace of God in your current situation ?

How are you going to manisfis His peace in your life ?

Whatever you need to do, do it!

Now Send up your own personal prayer…. Spend some time talking to your Heavenly Father.

Dear Father in Heaven, I know You are the God of hope. Yet so often I do not feel filled with the joy and peace You offer to me.

So often hope is distant in my heart. Today I acknowledge that I need You. I need Your hope in my heart and I need Your filling.

Please help me to do my part and trust You. Help me to trust You to give me the hope and the joy and the peace that Your Holy Spirit brings.

Increase my faith so I can trust You fully with all the question marks in my life. Fill me by the power of Your Holy Spirit now. I don’t want to just survive or just get by… I want to overflow!

Your Holy Spirit is the only one who has the power to pour the peace and joy You offer into my weary soul.

I trust you today with all the circumstances of my life. Thank you that I can come to you, my God of Hope!!

In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
