Photos From My Trip
I thought you would enjoy seeing some photos from my trip. It was a such a special time, and photos say a lot more than words can….
-
- Reconnecting with Miriam, a friend who knew my mother, and who has been faithfully praying for me since we first met in the early 1980s
-
- Amaya loves history and wanted to go to the museum. She was thrilled to see this actual part of the Berlin Wall.
-
- Imagine my surprise when there, on display was the same throne and footstool I’d remembered seeing when I was in Egypt! Since then, I’ve never forgotten the verse, “Heaven is my throne and the earth my footstool…”
-
- With Ivy after visiting “Build-a-Bear” where she created a new friend: Miss Luna–a unicorn who sings lullabies
-
- Lloyd, Kristina, the kids and I went to the races at Berlin Raceway. We only paid $5 for admission for all of us. I had tried to use a coupon, but it was too late to use it so they offered me free tickets if I promised to come back again. I said I couldn’t do that as I was visiting from Israel and wanted to treat my kids and grandkids. The person on the other end of the phone was quiet a minute and then asked for my name and told me, “There will be four free tickets waiting for you!”
-
- My friend Sue and her sister-in-law Louise. Rich and I visited Louise’s home after our legal wedding in Grand Rapids.
-
- Lori, Jeff, and I went to a museum in Jim Thorpe (formerly Mauch Chunk) Pennsylvania. The museum also serves as a Presbyterian Church and has this window in the main “worship” hall. The tour guide asked us if we liked it. I told him “No.” He asked why. I explained that this picture places all religious as equal, and there is only one way to God, through Jesus. The guide wasn’t happy with my answer, and I think he was glad to see us go. But then, walking down the street, Jeff, Lori, and I met someone else who started talking to us about his problems, and he did want to hear about Jesus!
