Prayer as Children Return to School
Schools have started across the nation. Let's unite in prayer for our children and grandchildren, as well as those that minister on the front lines; school administrators, teachers, counselors, bus drivers, lunch room workers, classroom aides, etc. These workers, for good or for bad, have great influence over our children, and ultimately society at large.
There are so many needs and we pray as Holy Spirit leads, but some points to target are:
The safety and protection of EVERY child and every educator in every school across the nation
Lord, we ask You to send angels to protect EVERY school or campus across the nation. Raise up intercessors in every community who will commit to cover their schools in prayer. No child, at any age, should ever be afraid to go to school!
We ask You for educators that know YOU and will represent YOUR love to those they teach
We ask for Your wisdom and grace to be at work in EVERY classroom, among students and teachers.
We want every child to feel loved and valued, Lord !
We need schools to focus on education again Lord, not the social agendas of teacher unions
Lord, we pray for strong families that will produce strong children...parents that will RAISE their children, not shift their responsibility on to the school.
Lord,we ask for teachers who will be fearless advocates for their students
Lord, we ask for teachers that understand that they need YOU to do their jobs well. Help them fight the good fight every day, Lord. We ask You to encourage and strengthen the weary and renew a passion for teaching in those who have grown weak and tired.
We want YOU in the classroom again, Lord! Faith played an important role in public education from its inception in 1635 until 1962 when the Supreme Court ruled for the removal of prayer in schools. We have seen the effects of Your removal from the classroom, and society as a whole, Lord.
Unite us to ALL STAND TOGETHER in intercession for our schools. We do not look to do battle in any court other than the Court of Heaven, looking in faith to YOU, knowing that You are bigger than the many issues that plague our schools. The only agenda we want to promote is YOURS, and we know that Your ways are above ours!
You continually surprise in the way that You answer our prayers. Help us to continue in intercession- going "above and beyond" until we see YOUR kingdom come, and YOUR will done in our classrooms. In advance, we thank YOU for hearing us and pouring out YOUR love on our children and their teachers. Amen!
