Genesis 49 vs.3-4 – Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.

1. Various kinds of curses run through families
2. In this passage, though it was Reuben that was cursed, it is obvious that his children will also suffer from the effects of the curse.

Prayers

• Holy Spirit, reveal to me curses running in my family in Jesus name
• I refuse to inherit ancestral curses in Jesus name.
