Prayers to break unbroken curses

1 Kings 16:34

“And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it” —Joshua 6:26

“In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun” —

My mother just returned from a Pilgrimage trip to Israel. Her trip was a fulfillment of one of her life ambitions. She had long desired to physically see some of the towns and sites mentioned in the Holy Bible.

Few days ago, she shared with me some of her fond memories on the trip. One of the things she told me is that the city of Jericho unlike most other towns in the State of Israel is still largely in ruins. She said there are very dilapidated and ruined houses in Jericho which contrasts sharply with the beauty of other towns in Israel.

She concluded by saying that the Biblical curse on Jericho from the mouth of Joshua still have effects even up till today. Her narrative really gave me more insight into the effects of curses. Curses can really have long standing effects, and unless they are broken, its effects will continue to show. Thank God for the blood of Jesus Christ

Galatians 3 vs13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE”— 14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Just like the city of Jericho, many nations, families and peoples are suffering under various curses today, and this is manifesting in form of plagues, famines, crime, poverty, unhappiness, barrenness etc. If you have noticed a contrary pattern in your life, you may be under the yoke of a curse, and this has to be broken by the power of the Holy Ghost before you can enjoy the plan of God for your life.How can we break unbroken curses?

By running to the curse breaker, give your life to Jesus and live in Holiness.
By investigating our past and ancestral history to know even patterns in our family lineage.
By praying in the Holy Spirit to get revelation on the root of our problems.
By crying to God in prayer and fasting.
By pleading the blood of Jesus and confessing the word of God against any evil spirit sponsoring and renewing any evil pattern in our life.

These are steps you can undertake yourself. You do not need any Priest to break curses over your life. All you need is the Blood of Jesus. Go ahead today and break the curse sponsoring any contrary pattern in your life.
