Genesis 2 vs 7,

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 6 vs 7

And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Genesis 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.

  1. Every man is formed from the dust and becomes a living being by the Spirit of God.
  2. For instance, In Genesis 6:2, God said He will draw His Spirit from man once he becomes 120 years old.
  3. As long as the Spirit of God is in you, you will have life.
  4. What happened at death means God has removed His Spirit from man’s body.
  5. So, it is the Spirit that gives life.
