James 4 verse 7

⁷ Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1. I want to narrate a story to interpret the scripture
2. In the olden days, anytime we dig a hole in the farm, we knew most likely there is a rat inside, and we use to heat up the hole with fire so that the rat will come out.
3. Most time, this happens, and we kill the rat and eat it. At times instead of a rat it’s a snake that comes out as we heat up the hole.
4. What we were simply doing was putting pressure on the rat with fire.
5. Unless we heat up the hole, no rat will flee out.
6. There was no rat inside a hole that could withstand heat and fire.
7. Unless you put pressure on spiritual rats and snakes, they will continue to trouble your life
8. The devil is the spiritual rat you need to heat up with fire.
9. Resist the devil with the word, prayers and fasting and see him flee from you.
10. Pursue him and hunt him down in Jesus name
