SATAN ACCESSES GOD’S PRESENCE

Memorise: “And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever” (Rev 22:5)

Read: Revelation 12:7-12

“Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them” (Job 1:6).

By Pastor E. Adeboye

Another reason Christians have believed and taught others that Satan has heavenly access is based on today’s reading. They assume the only possible way Satan can accuse believers is by going into God’s Throne Room in Heaven. But this is not true. Satan does not need to enter God’s heavenly court to accuse you.

When you are praying, you are in God’s presence. Satan can come and meet you praying. If you are observant, during prayer, particularly during midnight prayers, you can feel God’s presence and sometimes the presence of other spirits which may not be clear to you, until you spiritually probe them.

When praying at home or in church, you come into God’s presence. Satan may come and after hearing your request, contact his demons assigned to monitor you to produce spiritual video tape of your wrong deeds, speech and conduct.

He will replay this to God right there, using such spiritual exhibits to negate your prayers. Do you realize all your secret sins, wicked acts and the likes will be used against you? You must avoid sinning when you think you are alone. You are not. Your activities are going recorded!

A comparism between Job 1:6 and Revelation 12:10 shows something similar. The former talks of an event taking place on a particular day, while the latter says the work of the accuser is done day and night. Both of them point to one location – a place where day and night exists – that is the earth.

In Gen 1:5, through the combination of Day and Night, God created earth days. But in Heaven, there is no night or darkness there; hence, the New Jerusalem prepared for millenial saints has no night (Revelation 21:25).

In Heaven, there is no tomorrow. You cannot tell somebody, I will see you next week. There is nothing like that there. You have one unending day. What you have there is Now. So you have only ‘now appointments’. The meetings in Job were not in Heaven but on earth. In any case, do you still have something Satan can accuse you of?

The most dangerous time to sin is when you are alone. The safest place to sin is in public. At least everyone will recognize your weakness and some will attempt to help you
