Seeking first the kingdom of God should be top priority for you on this earth. Stop struggling for relevance and for money like the Gentiles do.

I laugh when I see Christians struggling for positions, money or relevance just as the gentiles do. Instead seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness should be uppermost in their lives.

Seeking first the kingdom of God: Don’t seek for unrighteousness

As I mentioned above, Christians do all sorts of ungodly things to gain advantage in their workplaces, marketplaces, industries and wherever they find themselves.

They even do eye service (fake their personalities) or put their bodies on the line for immortality to achieve their aims. This is gross ignorance and foolishness.

Seek first the kingdom of God is the best bet

Look at what Jesus said:

Matthew 6:25,31-34

[25]“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? [31]“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ [32]For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. [33]But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. [34]Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

In other words, Jesus said, ‘stop behaving foolishly like the gentiles. Instead seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all these good and godly things you desire will be added to you.

Stop struggling for relevance

Stop struggling for relevance. You are a child of the living God. You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a peculiar people. You are God’s representative on this earth.

You can’t afford to start struggling and cheating and faking your personality just as the gentiles do to gain advantage. No! You should not.

Action Power for Today: When you see yourself struggling for positions, money or their likes like the gentiles do, stop everything and read the whole of Matthew chapter 6 and pray with it.
