Share Jesus Without Fear & With Confidence

You can learn to overcome your fear to share Jesus with others. You can learn, with God’s help, to share Jesus without fear. And you can learn to share Christ with confidence.

When you put your faith in Christ and were saved, God sent His Holy Spirit into you. God has given you everything you need to overcome fear and share Jesus without fear. Everything you need to fulfill God’s work and mission is provided by the Holy Spirit. And God’s word is full of great truths and promises that show that He will make sure you are successful in sharing Jesus. You just need to step out in faith and do your part. Your part is to share the Gospel message and share Jesus with others. The Holy Spirit’s part is to do the rest and to produce the results.

Spiritual Warfare For Souls

The Bible tells us that spiritual warfare is real. Ephesians 6:12 says “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” There is a spiritual battle going on for souls.

God loves all people and wants them all to be saved. 1 Timothy 2:4 says “God wants all men to be saved, and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” God’s love and desire for all to be saved is so strong that He sent His only Son Jesus to make this possible.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

Our Enemy Satan Hates All People

Our enemy Satan hates people, and he wants to destroy people and their lives. 1 Peter 5:8 tells us “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” And Jesus tell us in John 10:10 “The thief (Satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

And Satan wants all people to end up where he is going. To eternal punishment and suffering in the place the Bible calls “the lake of fire”.

Revelation 20:10 says “And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”

Revelation 20:13-15 “Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. The sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them. And they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds.”

Where Does Fear Come From ?

God’s word tells us that He did not send us a spirit of fear. 1 Timothy 1:7 says “For God has not given us a spirit of timidity (fear), but of power and love and discipline.” Fear does not come from God. Power and love and a sound mind comes from God. And boldness and courage also come from God, as we will see in Part 2 of this series of articles.

Since our enemy Satan hates all and does not want anyone to be saved, he will try to hinder God’s kingdom work. He will try to stop God’s people from sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. One of his weapons to do this is to get us distracted and take our focus off of doing God’s work and mission.

Another of Satan’s weapons to hinder God’s work is apathy. He will try to get us to focus on and seek after earthly things and “the good life”. Another weapon he uses is temptation and sin to hinder your fellowship with God.

Satan’s most effective weapon is fear. If he can get God’s people to be too afraid to share Jesus with others, then many people will not hear about God’s love and plan of salvation. And many people will die in their sins and without Christ.

Less Than 2% of Christians Actively Share Jesus With Others

Satan’s use of fear and his other weapons appears to be working. Research shows that less than 2% of Christians in the US actively share Jesus in their daily lives.
