Book Text for Sins in the workplace

“I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit; fro without me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).

What’s a workplace?

Your place of work. Your job place. The company where you work. Where employees work. Where you work to earn income.

Your work defines you

The quality of your work defines you. Jesus said:

John 10:38
[38]but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”

Your workplace is an evangelism ground

Your workplace should be an evangelism ground for you. A place where you shine the light of God so that others can glorify God.

Matthew 5:16
[16]Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Three exemplary workplace professionals in the Bible

Jacob

Genesis 31:37-38
[37]Although you have searched all my things, what part of your household things have you found? Set it here before my brethren and your brethren, that they may judge between us both!
[38]These twenty years I have been with you; your ewes and your female goats have not miscarried their young, and I have not eaten the rams of your flock.

Daniel

Daniel 6:3
[3]Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.

Samuel

1 Samuel 12:3
[3]Here I am. Witness against me before the Lord and before His anointed: Whose ox have I taken, or whose donkey have I taken, or whom have I cheated? Whom have I oppressed, or from whose hand have I received any bribe with which to blind my eyes? I will restore it to you.”
