2 King 17 vs 9-10

9 And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the Lord their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

10 And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree:

2 Kings 9:17 KJV - And there stood a watchman on the tower in

  1. God called the people of Israel his children.
  2. But when they committed the sin of Idolatry, He disown them all.
  3. The Bible says that God rejected and afflicted them, cast them out of his sight, sent spoiler to destroy and even sent lions to kill them.
  4. So, if you are a child of God and you commit some grievous sin, God will not only disown you but also send a lion to destroy you.
  5. When God is angry, He becomes merciless.
