Genesis 3 vs 24

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Genesis 16 vs 7

And the angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.

Genesis 16:7 KJV - And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain

1.      God has aides that assist him in doing his work, run errands, and act as his assistant.

2.      The personal assistants are described in the Bible as Cherubims and Angels.

3.      In Genesis 3, a Cherubim was introduced and put in charge to guide the garden of Eden after Adam and Eve were chased away.

4.      In Genesis 16, an Angel of the Lord was sent to Haggai, Abraham’s mistress, to encourage her when she was running away from Sarah.

5.      Despite God being Omnipotent, all-powerful, and able to do all things, He still created Angels to assist him and execute his purpose.

6.      This spiritual, personal assistant of God is skilful, completely loyal to God, and committed to his will.

7.      But we also find in the Bible that some of them committed sins, and others formed a rebellion against God.

8.      If you hold a leadership position, it is wise to appoint skilful and diligent people to assist you. Otherwise, you will overburden yourself.

    The Mall or the Manger?

Much has changed since the God of the universe decorated the night sky with the star of Bethlehem and directed the choir of angels in a chorus announcing the birth of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. But the commercialism doesn’t have to rule in our hearts and homes. This year let’s focus on the Christ Child and remember the true meaning of the holiday season. As we turn our eyes to the Babe in the manger, we will not view Christmas as a dreaded obligation or a major retail event. It will be a time of joyous celebration, honoring the One Who came to give us eternal life and worshipping our Heavenly Father.
