Inspirational Thought of the Day:
God is the same Awe-inspiring God yesterday and today.
Scripture:
Habakkuk 3:2
LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.
Well, gang, I am blessed to have attended a Worship Conference and thereby took a reprieve from blogging. Please forgive me.
It will be more brief than usual, but I had to share this key insight that arrested my heart today. Once again, I am reminded that everything is all about God, but today something else in this verse above stood out to me. We serve a famous God Who we need to stand in awe of. The kind of awe that leaves you overwhelmed. Not just at what He accomplished in the past, but that the past is a good indicator for the future. Even more than that, we are to be completely overwhelmed at the character of God.
Recently I have really been contemplating how we get offended at God when it seems we are forgotten, but this passage is such a reminder that when we see our famous God working in other people’s lives, it is a GREAT thing and a privilege to behold. This same God is working in our lives, too, even if we do not perceive it.
Lord, we praise You for being so awesome! All Your deeds of old astound us. May we worship You fervently, as You deserve!
